Info on the New Jimmy Buffett DVD

The new "Jimmy Buffett" DVD is tentatively going to feature five songs recorded live from the Tiki Time tour, as well as the "Meet Me In Margaritaville" video they've been playing during intermission. It's meant almost as a DVD short - thus the lower price.

and if you are gonna put something on DVD then how about TALES FROM MARGARITAVISION or LIVE BY THE BAY?

We've been waiting for a JB DVD for so long, why, oh why can't it be a nice full length live show? Just like the previous person stated if you're going to do a dvd, then do it right the first time, hopefully some live dvds will be in our future.

If the DVD contained the entire show, you would not purchase one of the five full length CD's from the Tiki Time Tour.

I would love to have a whole concert on DVD, but Im not really all that dissapointed. It will be a LOT more than I have now! And Ive been hoping of a JB DVD for a lloonnngg time and now one is about to come out. I cant wait to see whats on it, Jimmy DVD YAHHOO!!!!

Why o why make the DVD zone 1 only? We cant play the VHS tapes because the format is wrong and now we get a zone 1 only DVD! It is very annoying to us english parrot heads!

But on the positive side, I prefer just a little Tiki Time Tour over re-release of Tales or Live By The Bay. Which songs will it be? Fins, Margaritaville, Cheeseburger, and CILCIA would be my guess.

I agree with Matt... something is better than nothing. Who knows - maybe it's a promo or something.

Imagine if it does well, it will inspire them to do more.

But there are ways around the zone problems on DVD

That's what i was thinking, if it sells good maybe he will reissue Tales from Margaritavision. I doubt Live by the bay would be rissued by Mailboat, since it came out on MCA.

I too would really like to have a full length DVD, but if he is only going to put 4, or 5 songs on it, I really hope Fins is one of them.

Buffett shows go by way too fast as it is....30min or so on the DVD is not nearly enough to satisfy us parrotheads...We want more!!!...but we will still take whatever we can get

If I am guessing man, the songs woul dbe from the show where the video crew was to film "5 O'Clock SOmewhere". It mkaes too much sense, doesn't it? The crew was there and they were filming anyway.

Look at the set list from that show and than start making some additional guesses......

In the "what is Jimmy wearing" thread, it was discussed that cameras have been at many shows, and possibly the minimal variation in outfits was for easy editing.
