Great Woods question...

Post by IP 42 »

Due to a last minute business trip, I did not make it to either of the GW shows this year. (A moment of silence, please) Seven years in a row and the streak ends. :( Anyway, I am curious about people selling tix in the lot. I usually buy them through a br---r because I don't want to risk getting shut out, but that may change next year. Were there alot of people selling?

There were a few - but they didn't seem to be having much luck, probably because of the policy of checking for tickets as you entered the parking lot.

I didn't see anybody selling, but did see about a dozen people looking.

I'd personally never risk going with ticket in hand.
Indecision may or may not be my problem....

There were some tickets being sold on Thursday in the lot but I only saw one person selling tickets on Saturday and he wanted $150ea for them.

I went Thursday without tickets and bought a pair of lawns from a Buffettnews user in the lot early in the afternoon and paid at or a little less than face value for them.

I already had saturday tickets and it was a good thing because I did see many many people walking around looking to buy Saturday tickets and it didn't look like they were having much luck.
I walked by the box office about 2PM on Saturday and even though the all the ticket windows were closed the line was so long I couldn't see the end.
