trivia time~
anyone recall what year it stormed at starlake? and what was the year that clint black showed up?

Clint Black was there in 2000. Not sure about the year it stormed. I was never at Star Lake in the rain to see Jimmy.

i will look through my pictures tomorrow and let you know the date

I think it was '97 when they skys opened on the lawn people. I truley remeber having to wade through knee high water to get out of the pavilion and to this day don't want to think about what I was walking through.

97 sounds about right. I remember dancing on the sidewalk between the lawn and the pavillion and it had filled up with water up to about my knees! It was fun!

And 2000 is definitely right for the Clint Black appearance. I have a copy of that show that I listen to all the time! It still remains as my favorite show of all time! The set list rocked!!

wish i was better at dating my pics...i have them in with others from 1998...but no date on the back...sorry i couldn't be of more help

we were on the lawn the year it stormed, it was something else! for our group, it was one of the best shows as far as "lawn entertainment". there were some sights to see!! but for some reason i had thought it was earlier than '97. oh well, see what getting older does to memory...

It was quite a sight. At first we were just standing out in the rain and I felt a tap on my shoulder and this nice guy was like do you guys want to stand under our tarp? So we did that for a bit but then we were like, let's go dance out in the rain! That's when we went down into the flooded walkway! Thanks, Ro, you brought back some great memories!

you know, we also had a tarp and we made like a catapillar (sp?) holding it over our heads and walking sinlge file. we met alot of people who "stopped" by to dry off for while. it was alot of fun that year!

Same year and tour where Clint Black made several apperances. I was at the Camden show with Clint Black.
