Do you think he will start releasing these "mini-live" DVD's for each summer tour?

At times like these...
Its times like these that I'm so glad I'm an Apple user (well, I'm actually always glad that I don't use Wintel junk). But now I get the new live stuff almost a month before everyone else!
Thank you Jimmy and Apple!
Fins up!

iTunes
Yes, iTunes uses a compression called AAC which I think was developed by Dolby. Its encoded at 128 kbps but don't let that fool you. When I first heard Apple was using a 128 encoding scheme, I laughed and thought "you fools." As it turns out, AAC is like nothing I've ever heard in terms of compressed audio. When comparing an AAC file to an uncompressed audio file, I can't tell the difference.
Before you dismiss this, let me tell you that I am a terribly picky listener. I won't touch 128 kbps MP3 files. They sound "lossy." I'm not even a fan of 160 kbps files (although, on an iPod or in the car, its tough to really hear the subtle things that are missing). When I encode, I prefer FLAC, SHN or better than 160 MP3s.
With that said, I usually only buy AAC files of CDs or songs that I don't want to keep a reference copy of. As a result, I tend to find myself still buying CDs of favorites like Buffett, Phish, Miles Davis, Kenny G (just kidding) and such. I buy from iTunes things like Guster, Los Lobos, Bernie Williams, Blue Traveler (I like 'em all, but I'd rather pay $9 than $18 for a physical CD).
I'll probably mix and match with the upcoming Buffett releases. I'll buy what I think are the best shows on actual CDs and buy the rest on iTunes. Unless of course iTunes charges as much or more than I can buy the actual discs at Worst Buy.

iTunes for Windows
According to MacMinute.com:
"Newsweek reports that Apple has 'quietly informed some music insiders that it’s moved up the date for expanding its current Mac-only iTunes [with Music Store] for the vast universe of Windows-based PCs to mid-October.' " A European version of iTunes is slated for early '04.
And I agree, I hope the setlists change every night. I'd hate to buy 6 CDs with the same songs (though, I probably will even if it doesn't change). Buffett is great at peppering his songs or stage banter with city or region specific humor that makes each show different. I know that hardly justifies 6 more live versions of Margaritaville. But what the heck - its live Buffett!

I cant wait for it to come out for windows. Jimmy Said tonight in the concert interview that he will see if there are a good number of downloads and if there is then they will start to record every concert and make it available for itunes downloads. which will be awsome. I think that there will be a lot more downloads once it gets out to windows which i hope is very soon!
