Buffett at MOTM 2003?
Anybody heard any rumours? Last year was our 1st year at MOTM so I'm spoiled. But it would sure be great if he surprised us again!

That be us!
How are you doing? Did you go back to Vegas this last time? We ended up not going to try to save funds for MOTM. Are you going to MOTM? I think Karin finally decided to go. Should be a hoot!
You are in Edmond, right? We are going to Norman for the game tomorrow. Go Sooners!
Are you in the Central Oklahoma Parrothead Association. I think Barb and I will join once we get back from Key West.

MOTM with BUBBA
This will be my 4th year and last year was the 1st time I saw him @ MOTM. The year before I heard he was on the Island but there was a hurricane, MICHELLE, pounding the heck out of Cuba so Key West was mostly evacuated by Saturday night, boo hiss
, & of course Bubba made it off the Island by Friday. Where is everyone staying? I'm at the Casa as usual (I'm spoiled & love the Casa)
I wish we had someway of knowing who we "talked" with on Buffettnews. A little tag saying "Buffetnews.com". See you all soon, I get in Tuesday, October 28.
Love & Luck

Meeting of the Minds. It's a large four day gathering in Key West of parrothead clubs from all around the country, and it takes place late October/early November. Last year, Jimmy made a surprise appearance there. Will he be there this year? Only Time Will Tell. Follow this link to learn all about MOTM. http://www.phip.com/motm/index.htmlJBfan'03 wrote:whats MOTM stand for?

Jimmy will be introducing his new boat at the Fort Laudedale Boat Show on November 3rd (from what I'm told) so he will be in the area. Although since he lives in Palm Beach, he is technically ALWAYS "in the area." But sine the boat shows going on, it means he's definitely in town around that time - so who knows! Maybe he'll decide to shock everyone and show up two years in a row! One can only hope..........
I have a friend who's prediction is that he will be there and play at some discreet place, but not at a large gathering. We'll see. Keep your fingers and toes crossed. Either way - it's always a blast at MOTM.
And by the way folks - Michelle was hardly a "hurricane" it was just a little itty bitty rainstorm............
My group didn't leave the island! We don't need no stinkin "mandatory evacuation! HA!

So how did it work last year...I know he played Margaritaville on Halloween...were people just there partying and having dinner or whatever and all of a sudden he came up on stage or was word traveling throughout the island and it was real tough to get in?
Just trying to get a feel for this thing...how many P-Heads are at MOTM every year?
How many years has this been going on?

There are rumours, but no one knew he was going to play at Mville, not even the staff. I got a phone call that he was there, so raced down there. You could not get in (unless you screamed Key West down like a raving lunatic that you were allowed in and when the door opened, one of the staff waved you in - not that I did this, I am quietPassed-out on Duval wrote:So how did it work last year...I know he played Margaritaville on Halloween...were people just there partying and having dinner or whatever and all of a sudden he came up on stage or was word traveling throughout the island and it was real tough to get in?

Close to 3000 Parrot Heads attend MOTM. It's been going on for 13-14 years. I think first year it was in New Orleans.Passed-out on Duval wrote:So how did it work last year...I know he played Margaritaville on Halloween...were people just there partying and having dinner or whatever and all of a sudden he came up on stage or was word traveling throughout the island and it was real tough to get in?

The bottom line is where else can you gather with thousands of people that think just like you do? It is a wild, and yet mellow, kind of ride!

The club was at capacity. People started waiting outside and, as folks left, the staff at Margaritaville would let new people in in the order they lined up.
The cool part was that if you had an MOTM laminate, they moved you to the front of the line.
