Radio Margaritaville is now an offered stream on Apple's itunes which is available on Mac and now Windows OS under the Americana section of the internet Radio streams. Jambalaya Jam and Boat Drinks are just two other nice streams that the Parrothead nation would be interested in listening to.
The two new live CDs are also now available for Windows users

Boat Drinks
I've been listening to Boat Drinks on Live365.com for several years. It's a good station, although the pop up ads drive me crazy! I will have to check out Jambalyaya Jam and see how it sounds. I'm glad to hear that RM is available through yet another source.

RM has been available for a long while...
I have been listening to RM on my Mac through iTunes for quite sometime. I can't remember exactly when, but I know I listened to the entire summer tour through iTunes.
At any rate, for all you Windows users out there, welcome to iTunes and the beauty of what Apple has to offer.

Itunes vs Windows Media Player
I just heard about Margaritaville on Itunes. I wish that it was broadcast at a higher rate. It sounds alot clearer on Windows media player. I tried to adjust the Eq on Itunes but could not get as clear a sound. So untill they increase the rate of broadcast I stick to WMP

Hmmm...not sure about that.
Hearing is subjective, but there is no explanation as to why RM would sound better on WMP. Micro$oft's product plays RM at 32kbps while iTunes offers RM at 24kbps AND 64kbps. Did you choose the higher bandwidth version? Is it different on the Mac side than on the Windows side? All great mysteries. But use what's best for you.

Interesting...
I just checked on my desktop and my iBook. On my desktop (w/ new iTunes installed) it did indeed switch to 40kpbs. On my iBook with an older version of iTunes I got the same story. So...I tried a different way.
I clicked MP3 High on Radio Margaritaville's site. Guess what. Same story - 40 kbps. Looks like the blame may be with RM, not iTunes or WMP after all. But I'm not an engineer, so...

Itunes vs WMP
I was running the two programs side by side and the Itunes sound had less detail to the sound and was muddier even after I played with Eq. It isn't a mac vs. windows. I've been on a mac since 1985. I have no evidence but, it sounds like WMP is running at a higher rate. The comparision that I could give is when you listen to a station that is running on Itunes at two different rates. The higher the rate the clearer the sound.
