anyone know how they pick these replays? Did someone just have a reasonably good quality bootleg, or was this some special event in Cinci. Just wondering.

I think they have this one because during band intros Jimmy mentions it being a crew members last show, so they recorded it for her. :D

If that's really true then Jimmy is even more of a cool dude than he was before I learned that fact. :D

I've always thought that was why RadioMargaritaville had old shows, Jimmy wanted them recorded for some reason and he has a copy of it. Who knows, Jimmy might have a bootleg collection of his own.

It is common practice for artists to record their own shows. Though these recordings are usually not CD quality they are intended to be used by the artist/band sort of like how game films are used by athletic teams. It's also good to have recordings like this for reference. They can always be cleaned up with a little studio work to be released as an album. For this reason, I wouldn't be surprised if Mailboat dusts off some old stuff for a live album of rarirties, or perhaps to a few classic shows on CD. According to Radio Margaritaville, they have a rather large collection of old shows spanning a good chunk of Jimmy's carreer. They do consider requests for the concert replays, so if there is a specific show you want to hear, regardless if it predates RM, you can drop 'em a line, you may get to hear that show that you were too drunk to remember!
