He also played "Coconut Telegraph" after "Stars."

All attendees also got free food and drink for 4+ hours. I don't think anyone walked away feeling like they didn't get their money's worth. Besides, it all went to charity.

It was a great night. Jimmy was extremely relaxed and in very good spirits. He signed a lot of autographs.

That's about what he did in Indianapolis when it opened. But $75 a ticket was definetly worth it to get the free food and drinks and a couple of autographs, and shake his hand and stand less than 5 feet from him while he sang 5 or 6 songs. Plus, you got to say "I was there when ..."

Yeah it was worth it. Also, the guy who paid that much probably got some extra perks. I know the guy who paid almost that much in Indy got a meet and greet, a couple of shirts, and a table at the front of the stage. If I had it to spend, I might pay that for all of that.

The actual set list should be:

Stars On The Water
Coconut Telegraph
Boat Drinks
Son of a Son of a Sailor
It's 5:00 Somewhere
Cheeseburger In Paradise

As for the people who spent $5,000.00, the fact that they had it to spend leads me to believe they weren't too concerned.

Jimmy was an upper in Downers Grove

I traded in my Margarita for a hot chocolate, and my sandles in for my hiking boots, but still managed to feel like I was deep down south!! Would have loved to be inside, but I will never forget that experience....Thankyou Jimmy, You put the "B" in best Buffett!!!!

I am sure the kids in the unit of the hosiptal are very thankful for the individual that spent that on the tickets that cost $5200. Also, an autographed acoustic guitar and a surfboard went for $5000 apeice as well.

I am glad this event raised as much money to help the hospital as it did, and people got to see Jimmy too!

Photso of Downers Grove Benefit Concert

Post by jimebuffett1946 »

I was at the show on November 3rd and I was wondering if anyone has any photos they can share with me. I saw a few people taking pictures and I left my camera in the car. Please let me know if you have any you can share.
Thanks

There are some in this thread under Jimmy Buffett Discussion... "...who is going to CIP". opharbour was inside, and included a link to his pix in the BN photo gallery above under concerts... and a couple of us posted ours from the sidewalk outside in the thread.
