Overkill and False Echoes

Post by abbacus »

I was just listening to the Banana Wind Cd and found something ironic on the song "Overkill". Is not Jimmy sort of doing exactly what he is singing about. Seems like everytime I turn around a new business is being started. I love jimmy like none other but this seems to go against all that I have thought of him. Especially with the whole Tyco concert he did a few years back. Another thing is what is False Echoes about?? I can obviously guess. Well Thanks.

I believe False Echos is about Jimmy's father, who had Alzheimer's (sp?) disease.

Lee,

I think he's talking about a guitar model made by gibson. I only know that because I have two of them.

I figured... just don't know what the "30" is for.

I have a Custom though... :) and the JCM-800 and 4x12 to go with it. :)

My Web page? Ha- I'm amazed people actually look at it.

LesPaul30 is my AOL account that i've had for years. I used to play alot of guitar, and do have a Les, but I really havn't been able to pick it up much these days. Seem to only play when needed, unfortunately.

The thing with the 30 is just that when I signed on the AOL back in 94, it was LesPaul29. (29 being a favorite number- why? no idea). So at that time, being a freshman in college, I decided to check out some software called AOL HELL, which made people write things in those chat rooms that thye didn't say. AOL caught on to it, and cancled my account, so I figured well, I'm not doing that again, lost the 29, and just went to 30. Had it ever since.

I think all great guitars have their "thing". A Strat is great if you want a Strat sound. Same with a Tele. Depends what you're looking for. :)

It's a Jager sticker. I'm sponsored by them. They have me the jager guitar too... it's a Schecter.

I've tried ( single coil stomp box effect, etc ) to get that fender " twang "
out of my LP. No luck I do like the way the strat maple neck feels/ plays.

Great sponsor to have. Free samples ?

I spent a lot of time trying to get the LP/Marshall sound.

Then I bought the LP and Marshall, plugged em in and went "Oh, there it is." :)

That picture of the parrot is actually the main logo of the PH Web ring. But I liked it enough to put on the main page of my site....
