I usually go to Amazon.com, right click on the album cover image to open it in a new tab, copy the URL and then paste it here using the [img] tags. You can quote one of my posts to see what I've done. Hope that helps...
Jeff Allen - EP - young country singer from Canton, Tx.
They're promoting him like this:
Somewhere down a gravel road where Elvis intersects with Willie and rock'n'roll swagger meets country music candor, Jeff Allen has staked a solid claim.
....
Blessed with honey blonde good looks reminiscent of a young Brad Pitt and the poetic soul of Texas legend Townes Van Zandt, Allen possesses a combination of searing integrity and down home charm that are a force to be reckoned with.
Oh, really?
He's cute. I'll give him that. But to even mention his name with that of Elvis, Willie and Townes is a huge reach.
In his - and his publicist's - dreams.
Someone deliver me.
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.
My love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.

Have you heard that Lydia Loveless album I posted above? Given your taste in music, I think she'd be right up your alley. Here's a sample:
I hadn't read the entire press release when I posted that about Jeff Allen. It gets worse.
After comparing himself to Willie and Townes (two of the best Texas has ever produced), he says, "I didn't come to Nashville to be a Texas artist."
Seriously?
The biggest CD to come out of Nashville this year is going to the Guy Clark tribute - Guy Clark, from Texas. 33 of Nashville's best artists are on the record. Several more were turned away.
*Rolling eyes here*

East Texas Parrothead wrote:What I'm NOT listening to ... the new George Strait (he and his son wrote most of the tunes) and the new REK (it's phoned in). Blech.
And, guess what? "Here for the Good Times" is nominated for a Grammy. Go figure.
Steve Earle got a nod. That's a good thing.
