Very nice find and what an unusual array of guests. I still need to pick up Elvis' country album Almost Blue which is now out in a deluxe edition loaded with extras and outtakes.tikitatas wrote:

Did you have to buy your Jim Morris C.D.s on line? Because I can't find ANY of his outside of Florida, and am still missing a couple.aeroparrot wrote:Three Jim Morris CD's and a John Frinzi CD.

I'm not really a big fan (or a fan at all really) but his next album with Rick Rubin (Beastie Boys, Johnny Cash, Slayer) producing out to be interesting at least. By the way, if you haven't seen the cult movie Heavy Metal Parking Lot yet I highly recommend it. There's a great piece shot about fans at a Neil Diamond concert that's included as one of the extras. You'll laugh so hard you'll cry.Wino you know wrote:I bought Neil Diamond's box set yesterday.
MY GOD, that guy has to be THE most under-rated singer in the world.
Other than some indie theaters I'm not sure it was ever seen in wide release, it's been out on VHS for quite some time (not sure about DVD). The Trio network also had a series called Parking Lot which is based on the movie but I have no idea if it's still on the air.Wino you know wrote:Thanks, Jahfin. I'll be sure to watch for that movie when it comes out.
(ON DVD OR VIDEO! Sorry-I don't do movie theaters anymore).

He was on the Today Show concert back in April, he can't sing at all anymore. He talked his way through 3 songs. He seemed like a really nice guy though, he was joking around with the fans between songs while they were in commercial breaks. Very few of the performers on the Today Show do that. At best, some of them wave to the crowd between songs.Wino you know wrote:I bought Neil Diamond's box set yesterday.
