I picked this up when I was in Melbourne, just got to watch it yesterday, it's a great DVD, possibly the best music DVD ever.
This is on my Wishlist at Amazon. Jerry Jeff played the Pour House in Raleigh several years ago but if memory serves, it was on a Sunday night and I was still living at the coast then so I had to miss it. Since he doesn't play here a whole lot and is cutting back on touring in general, I may never see him unless I make a trip to Texas.
Great classic movie. Was at Kmart, and they had it in the $5 bin, went to the register, and it came up for only a penny. Best buy I have had in a LONG TIME
Did you hear the one about me being a punk?
Did you hear the one about me being a drunk?
Did you hear the one about me losing my nerve?
Or how I'm just another f**** sheep in the herd?
Did you hear the one about me giving a s***?
Cause if I ever did I don't remember it.
The soundtrack to THE MASTER. Brilliant. But wouldn't recommend it unless you've seen the film.
Got the new Rosie Flores record, WORKING GIRL'S GUITAR. She is so amazing. Love, love, love her.
Also love THE TRISHAS' first full length record, and of course, Lyle's RELEASE ME. His cover of WHITE FREIGHTLINER BLUES blew my hat into the creek. Got to see him live a few weeks back. Fabulous show.
The latest Justin Townes Earle record is always in rotation in my car and on my iPod. I hope he can stay clean. He is so freaking gifted.
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.
My love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.
I love this. Definitely a very welcome antidote to what largely passes as "country" music today. Looking very forward to seeing the movie about them that's currently in production.
The soundtrack for this movie has never been released on CD. Glad to see that finally change. It's now packaged with the re-release of the movie on DVD.
The new solo album from former R.E.M. lead guitarist Peter Buck. For those that aren't aware of it, Buck announced several months ago that he'd be releasing a solo record on Mississippi Records (a speciality label based out of Portland, OR) in a limited quantity of 2000 copies on vinyl only. There is no download code card (something most vinyl releases come with these days) and there is no CD, though Buck has said it will most likely be released on CD eventually. I picked up my copy today at All Day Records in Carrboro, NC, the only record store I'm aware of in the Triangle region of NC that has it in stock so far. For anyone else located in the area that may be interested, I was told they received 20 copies, though I'm not sure how many they have left in stock. If you want to be assured of procuring a copy, I suggest calling the folks at All Day Records and asking them to hold one for you. Their number is (919) 537-8322.

I finally ordered this DVD. Seeing Jerry Jeff in the Mr. Bojangles video with Todd at Moody Theater reminded me how much I enjoy watching him.
I also ordered Moon Child on CD. I had no idea that was even offered on CD these days instead of just the mp3 digital download. I'll be glad to see how it is packaged.
