The CRB was concealed behind the 'big boxes' on the
sides until Bubba came out. Nice to see them, even if
it was just a blur. Glad my son's friend replaced his TIVO
and handed his old one off to us!!!
It was great!! Got to see Jimmy sing to start the show and win the award close to the begining, it was Great! It is About Time. Also nice for Alem to stand back and let Jimmy have the moment!!
I am so happy for Jimmy. He has been through so much this year. I, too yelled when the called his name out. He IS the man. Alan is so great. letting JB have the speech time. They sound so good together! PHINS UP
I agree with all of y'all. Jimmy deserves this award and many more. It was great to hear him recognize his wife, Jane and great to see Jimmy smiling. Yahoo!!
Yesterday's over my shoulder . . . . . there's too much to see waiting in front of me . . . . .
My 3 year old son and 1 year old daughter were almost as excited as I was. It surprised me when he won and my 1 year old daughter started clapping. It was the only time she clapped with the audience all night. My son was even more excited because he loves that song and tries to sing it as loud as possible whenever it is on. He even asks me out of the blue, "Daddy, what time is it? It's 5 o'clock somewhere!!" And he walks around the house saying "What would Jimmy Buffet do?"
God I love those kids.
This is a well deserved overdue award......Jimmy just keep on performing so I can take my children to see such a 2 weeks vaction wrapped up in an 5 hr party and 3 hr show .
yelled so loud ya scared the dog? Heck, I was jumping around like Reese Witherspoon in "Election"... My husband is now sure of the fact that I have really gone and lost my mind. Buffett finally winning an award is WAY long overdue (and it was god to see the Reefers up there playing too :) )
Hot damn tamale man!!! That was sooooooooooooo awesome!
He looked so excited, so thrilled, and so stunning!!!!! While performing, while accepting... and his reaction in his seat when they won, that was one happy man! Those twinkling eyes and shining smile get me everytime!
Hearing his speech made it dawn on me that we owe Jane a debt of gratitude for putting up with him all these years too!
As for Alan... I don't think they come more down to earth than him! He's humble yet appreciative, and I think his acceptance speech for Entertainer of the Year spoke volumes!
WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
I’m still gliding as I go flying down this endless wave
Some people had to work last night, and didn't get to see the show. (The same person who was running late for work and didn't have time to set the VCR.)
By chance, is anyone planning to post the performance, and/or award presentation, so moron's like me can see it?
Congrats Jimmy and Alan....Looked like Jimmy had tons of fun....Very well deserved....and I agree that is was great that Alan gave Jimmy the spotlight!!.....and I'm so glad Jimmy once again performed barefoot....I was kind of hoping to see the wristbands...but you can't have it all!!!

I kind of feel a Chris Ledoux thing coming on. You know after Garth mentioned him in a song his career took off but how could JB possibly get bigger but heck I welcome all the new people and phans. ]
