5 O'Clock NoWhere!

Don't get me wrong- I'm very happy for JB and Alan Jackson but their tune can't even touch Brahma Fear or Brand New Country Star. Check those tunes out and see for yourself. When I hear what passes for country these days (ex Cash) I wonder if I should have been a C&W writer, perhaps in my sleep. JJW you been passed over too long also.

Call out Ramblin Scramblin or Gertrude. I might see him on 11/19 with Django but it's doubtful.

I am jealous. Remember without JJW there would be no JB!

I like to think that neither of them would be as far as they are today without each other's influences.

I have never seen him but WILL make the trek to the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta this year. He has come at the same timeframe Jimmy makes his winter tour stop in Atlanta. But never has Jimmy been there that I have heard.

For those of you that like Scamp but haven't seen him I hope you get the opportunity and grab it!!!! I've seen him several times (even way back in his stoner days) IMHO he's like a great wine or whiskey. He's gotten better with age!!!

The Ram's Head is a great place to see a show. In the past couple of months, I've seen Dr. Ralph Stanley, Leon Redbone, Doc Watson and Little Feat there.

Now, if we can just get Jerry Jeff to come to the Tin Angel in Philly, THAT would be a show.

Saw JJW at ChicagoFest in 1980.... time flies when your having drinks

OBTW, IMO... is Goodman sounding like one of those GOP's I've heard about. Grumpy Old Parrothead (JK)

Ditto

You might be right. Been accused of being in the Screw Buffett stage too. I think I Got to Go where It's Warm. :-)

You definitely give out that vibe at times, but at least you have a sense of humor about it!

Jerry Jeff is going to be playing here in NC soon but it's on a weeknight so it's out of the question (not to mention the six hour drive there and back).

From what I've been reading about Buffett's upcoming Conchy Tonk album it doesn't sound too promising but I'll hold judgement until I actually hear it.

i was listening to Brand New Country Star this morning. Gotta love that "hot roman candle from the Texas Panhandle"!
