Kind of bored right now

. So I figured Id tell my story. I just wanted to say how great it is to have found this board. I guess I really do fit in. I am part embarrased and part inferior when I admit that at the age of 35 (36 the day before Jimmy) I have been a fan for only about 3 years. Since I was 10 I was, and still am, a Springsteen fanatic. 36 concerts, 250 bootlegs a kabillion hours of listening and 25 years later I have finally found someone equivallent. 3 years ago in a Springsteen chat room I met Karen. She kept telling me she loved Bruce but he was second to Jimmy. So after a month of egging me on I started listening to Jimmy myself. There has been no stopping me. I am certainly not here to start a competition for music is an art and not a softball game. There are no winners and losers. While the music and the lyrics and the styles are so completely opposite it amazes me how much their songs are the same.
Last summer I drove from New York to Cincinatti for my first concert. I wasnt there 5 minutes before I said to my wife "I cant wait to come back next year".
The pictures his music can draw in a persons mind are incredible. The removal from everyday life is so neccessary. His music, in summary, can be a persons own "One Particular Harbor". It is a place to go to get away. Yet, life isnt so bad and its great to have it along for the ride.
I almost hate myself for missing out on so many years of this. But "Yesterdays over my shoulder, so I wont look back for too long". And I have to admit that all the time I spend catching up is really alot of fun. I just started "A Pirate Looks at 50". My 5 year old is a complete parrotthead. Shell probably change in a couple of years but atleast shes had the chance.
I could go on for ever, but I have probably bored you all enough already.
John
