I am not a technologically advanced person, I don't know anything about downloads, burning, the advantages of a DVD over a VHS, or whatnot. Hell, when the CD was invented I thought it was stupid, why would anyone get rid of a tape in favor of disc that could easily be scratched. What I'm saying is that the Mini-Matinee was the first DVD I've ever purchased. I don't have a DVD player but my girlfriend does. So maybe I'm missing the reasoning behind the arguments against the DVD. To me, it's another product that a 56 year old entertainer is producing that he does not need to. I understand that Jimmy is going to make a killing off these, but we all know that he doesn't need the money. In my opinion, Jimmy is not going to be in business until he is a 90, so anything he wants to put out is fine by me, because it's better than the alternative. Which would be NOTHING. I honestly enjoyed every second of the DVD and I can't wait for another one.

I'm sure these mini matinee dvd's are just a teaser. I'm really hoping he puts out a full length unedited, uncut , concert on dvd. I don't know why he can't do with dvd that he is doing with his live cd's. He has the camera's at the show, and he has obviously recorded several of them. This is proved by the matinee dvd that came out. Several different shows are shown during Cheeseburger, and Fins. I wish he would put the dvd in with the cd. That would be awsome, and well worth 20, or 30 bucks.
Bring me the hot sauce, bring me a beer. Going to be the last man standing, but where do you go from here?
It is also fun to play the dvd at 1/8 slow speed and eventhough you cannot hear the audio that way you can easily see so many shots you might miss with it at normal speed.daddymention wrote:It's a pretty awesome DVD...I'm glad Jimmy finally got one out there...unfortunately it's way too short...I hope we don't have to wait too long for something full-length....
The best thing about the DVD is being able to see the band up close...I've spent way too many years now sitting on the lawn...I'm also thrilled that I can pause the DVD and zoom in on NADIRAH - I sure love her...
Thanks Jimmy....you know your fans are absolutely crazy about you...this satisfies our craving for about 24 minutes....but we expect more soon....![]()

This happened once before on something my roomie rented. She took it back and got another copy of the same thing and it still wouldn't play....

Ragtop's right
I agrree wity Ragtop...Mind you I'm NOT saying it's not worth the cheap price, BUT there are SOOOO many lesser "Artists" that have Full length DVD's at affordable prices. This smells like quick Xmas sales to me. I DO like the what's on it though.

Mine will play but then will "freeze" from time to time while I'm navigating through the menus. I end up having to eject the DVD and putting it back in, then starting all over.CRC Parrothead wrote:It's actually my roomies player. My player is only two years old and this has never happened with any other DVD. Anyone else running into this?

I finally watched it yesterday at a friend's house... saw my friend Carla during the first song! She was in the front row in Vegas in April. I can't wait to send her a copy and tell her to watch it!! I also thought it was awesome to see the little clip of footage from Newk's in Tampa with the Elvis Parrothead dude. We all have pics with him!! And the quick little clip from the Margaritaville Orlando show!! It's so cool to see that kinda stuff and say, "Hey!! I was there!!"
