Just Toured Margaritaville in Vegas

I am having a private function at the new Margaritaville at the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas, and received a tour, even though it is still under construction.

Pretty cool....

All three floors face the Strip.

First floor, main bar, back bar, huge volcano over main bar (Like Orlando but bigger). Big dance floor/stage. Cool seating areas made to look like boats where your seating is in the cockpit.

Very large model of Jimmy's seaplane hung from ceiling.

Second Floor...more seating also overlooking strip.

Thrid Floor ...outdoor deck overlooking strip. Badn area, outdoor bar. Very cool.

Looks like it's going to be fun.

I think this is a private party for all Buffettnews.com members...but I'm still waiting for my invitation as well.......perhaps it will come in the mail tomorrow!

Alas, Corporate money...no, I am no Dennis Kozlowski, and this is not Tyco. Just a cool company I have run and been with for 24 years.

If we go here, I will be taking the place down for 150 of my management folks who are coming from around the U.S. and U.K.

The people running the place are real cool, and they tell me the bands they have contracted as house bands are top notch. Yes, I did hear Jimmy is playing the grand opening in January.

You have to see the place...the seaplane model is huge. Great location facing Ceasars, on the strip.

Yes, the other rumor is out...they are trying to close the strip so Jimmy can play outside on the 3rd deck facing the strip. Otherwise, he is inside on the big stage, or possibly both.

As for tickets....invitation only I think they said...only 800 people inside.

I have to say, I have never been impressed with Margaritaville Key West (too small and too far from harbor/Sloppy Joe's) and Olrando was cheesy. Well, this is cheesy too. However, there is something about Vegas and cheesy...I think this place will take off big time...and will also serve to promote Jimmy to people who do not know him that well. The location is A+++. Many people will walk in and experience Jimmy's style ...if they get out of the biggest Margaritaville store you have ever seen.

Man this makes me want to head out to Vegas from the East Coasr even more... can't wait to see it.
