You're on the money T.T.R. It sounds cool to say you've seen one of your favorite entertainers in concert and a legendary venue, HOWEVER, you must take into account the sound and sight lines.
Caught Springsteen at Comerica Park in Detroit this year and was in the 7th row left of stage but unless you were in the pit directly in front of the stage it was HORRIBLE for viewing purposes. I would suppose most ballparks are this way.

I just got back from Maui, I can't go to Hawaii , can I??? What a mess!! I guess I am just going to have to bite the bullett and call in sick!!

Does anyone know if the Vegas show will be open to the public (closing the strip or otherwise?) or will this be invite only inside Margaritaville? The suspense is killing me.....

If this early info turns out be true...and I know Phjim is on the level...I am going to be very happy! By San Jose, does that mean Shoreline? Or is there an arena there? I wish Jimmy's people would have looked into central cali's newest gem, the SaveMart Center at Fresno State!

http://www.savemartcenter.com

This venue, in it's first month of existence has hosted Andrea Bocelli, Sir Elton John, matchbox twenty, Toby Kieth, and Good Charlotte! George Strait is going to be here in January, I believe. Great sight lines and incredible sound, not to mention 3 large parking lots! (p.s. I don't work for them...it's just a nice place)
Anyways, I can't wait for San Jose and Vegas, baby Vegas! 8)

I'm in Chicago, but have seen him in northern Cal several times. I believe Shoreline is closed for the winter. The last time he played the area in the winter (it was March a couple of years ago) he played an indoor arena in Oakland and one in San Jose-I imagine the latter is where he will be this time.

If it is San Jose, which it looks like it is, it will be at San Jose Arena also known as HP Pavilion...it is where the San Jose Sharks play...

He played there Saint Patty's day in 2001...GREAT SHOW...

Post by Hurricane Parrothead »

Is this show in Anaheim a replacement for Irvine? Are Irive ticket holders going to get preference or is this open like any other show? I sure hope its open..I snoozed and missed out on Irvine tix, went to San Diego, caught a great show...now I get an Orange County reprive! WOOHOO!

BuffettNews.com has the early word on the January 2004 Tour:

Tuesday January 20th - San Jose CA
Thursday January 22 - Margaritaville Las Vegas
Saturday January 24 - Anaheim CA
Wednesday January 28 - Hawaii

Where is this info coming from? On Margaritaville.com, it still says NO DATES SCHEDULED. Anyway to confirm these dates - Hawaii in particular? I need to start making travel plans.
I have been coming to this board now for over three years, and normally, what happens is that phjim posts the inside scoop on the tour dates. Then, about a week later, they show up on margaritaville.com. Booking nonrefundable reservations is a bit risky until you see them confirmed on margaritaville. But, phjim has not been wrong since I've been coming here.

I get a regular email newsletter phrom www.parrotrepublic.com .......one came in today and had these tour dates listed too. WOOOHOOO!! :D :D

They refunded tickets to Irvine so this show will be open to everyone..first come, first serve.

If they would have said to hold on to the tickets for a rescheduled show, then it would be different.

2004 Tour _ Phoenix ????

Post by Pre - You »

I can't believe Jimmy wouldn't loop in Phoenix into the current schedule . It just makes sense for him financially and sense he skipped us last year I think it would be well appreciated in the Valley of the Sun. I hear Glen Campbell might be the opening act for the show, or maybe I heard he was just opening another Corona.
