Ok, so, get this. I was in Des Moines, Iowa last week covering the Democratic debate. Needless to say, Iowa is not exactly the most desierable place to visit.
So, Jimmy announces the Hawaii show on January 28th, which is the same date as the New Hampshire primary (another event I would have to cover).
Well, I more or less made a deal with the devil to not have to do the New Hampshire primary. What I have to do (aside from commit my immortal soul to hell for all eternity) is go back to Iowa for the caucus on January 19, which just happens to be my birthday.
Granted, I am sure it will be worth it, and I know there are far worse things to complain about, but I must say that this PH addiction does not come without a price...

Hawaii? We moved here almost 2 years ago, and shortly after Jimmy showed for his impromptu solo concert at Dukes. Never in my life would I have ever dreamed - front row, center stage, only a few feet (literally) away from the stage. Was even able to get on stage first to give him a lei and a kiss, second to dance towards the end of the show. (Yes, my husband got pics.) Got my Far Side of the World CD autographed to boot. Thought I'd died and gone straight to heaven!! Been a while since I've been to the Shell, but remember it as nice. Yes, beer lines slow (and expensive), but heck we're on island time here. Although after my last concert experience, it really doesn't matter - it will never get any better than that ... but I still can't wait!!
