The original version of Come Monday was not played on
the British government-owned radio broadcasts because
the brand name "Hush Puppies" was considered a
commercial endorsement, which was not allowed (kind of
like the way PBS stations used to avoid

).
Anyway, if you've ever heard the version of the song with
"hiking boots" substituted for "Hush Puppies," then you've
heard the British version. It doesn't roll and sound as
mellow that way, but it's OK... or at least good enough for
our cousins across the pond. (No offense, PHUK phriends.

Sorry Inside joke I used to hang once in a while with the local minor
team and most of the girls in town think the guys are good looking
so I had to give them some static about it.
