Nashville, TN According to country music fans, Alan Jackson still reigns as king. Fans across the U.S. and beyond cast their votes for the 2003 Country Weekly Fan Favorite Awards, and Jackson once again edged out other top contenders in the categories of Favorite Entertainer, Favorite Male Artist, and Favorite Collaborative Song for "It¹s Five O¹clock Somewhere" with Jimmy Buffett.
Grammy nominations are out in the morning, right?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Country music fans once again voted Alan Jackson their favorite entertainer in Country Weekly magazine's 2003 Fan Favorite Awards.
Jackson, 45, who won the title last year, also took the favorite male artist award and favorite collaborative song for "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" with Jimmy Buffett.
More than 65,000 fans cast votes this year, the magazine said. Fans voted through mail-in ballots and online at countryweekly.com.

Grammy members area is running SLOW - go figure.
All I can find so far is that the SONGWRITERS got nominated for "Country Song of the Year"
Jimmy wouldn't get a Grammy - just the songwriters...

In the Best Country Collaboration With Vocals category, Willie Nelson is nominated paired with Norah Jones on "Wurlitzer Prize (I Don't Want To Get Over You)" and with Toby Keith on "Beer For My Horses," which are both nominated along with June Carter Cash and Johnny Cash's "Temptation," Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffet's "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," and James Taylor and Alison Krauss' "How's The World Treating You." Nelson also is nominated twice in the Best Country Album category.
