I'm coming up quick on 28 also. Usually, I feel like I'm going on 50 - unless, of course, I'm listening to Bubba.

My girlfriend also looked at me funny when I told her I was a Buffett fan but two summers ago I took her to Alpine Valley to see the greatest show on Earth...now I cannot keep her away. I say take the girl to Margaritaville and she will never want to leave!!

By the way I have been listening to Buffett since I was 16 and I am now 22 and have only missed 1 concert in that span of time...I live for my one visit a year to Margaritaville, and would go more often if I didnt have to pay for college!!

I'm 31 so I haven't really gotten the "getting old" treatment (not alot anyway  ). Just alot friends/family that shake their heads when I talk about JB's new album coming out, etc. One friend of mine is still in disbelief that I actually went to Vegas for a Buffett concert! (His emphasis, not mine). As already has been said, they just don't "get it". :D

I wish I could date some 21 yr. olds...however, I don't think the wife would like it too much. I will be 30 in two weeks. 8)

My son thought my enthusiasm for a man in his fifties who isn't on MTV was strange. But sllllowwwly but surely, step by step, inch by inch he is on his way to "getting it". I may even someday get him and his soon-to-be new wife to a concert. I just turned blankety-something yesterday but I act like I'm in my twenties or thirties! :wench:

I am a 19 year old parrothead who has been to 13 shows now. By far my favorite show was when I took my 47 year old mom to her first concert. She was instantly a parrothead. Age doesnt matter at all!!!!!

You should ditch the 21 year old. My honest opinion is they arent intellectually stimulating enough for a 28 year old man of refined mein and debonair appearance.

I would recommend that you forward her my email address, however, so that I might apply my many more years of experience with dealing with the fairer sex and perhaps guide her into being a more responsible, understanding and personable individual.

see, first you get em drunk and then....... :pirate:

Ahhh...growing older but not up...Mental age is most important.
I wish I could "worry" about being 28 again...

OK at the risk of sounding like a perv I am 43 years old been a JB fan
off and on since I was 14 (there were those married years) I have been
divorced since 86' and before anyone says a word. I don't like have
girls running hot and cold in fact I really don't date much but in those
years I have not gone out with a girl older than 26. Now this is not by
design It just seems that I meet someone, get to know her and soon I'm
seeing another "young girl", that being said some of them get it and some of them don't, age is just a number 28 IS NOT that old If you get along
great if not I'm sorry that it doesnot work Music is but one level of a relationship a spoke in the wheel. there are many spokes, try and
see how many other spokes fit prior to dump off. Wayne

I am 44, when I first met Hawaiigirl(who is a little younger) in 94 she read one of the Coconut Telegraph's that were lying around and mail ordered a couple of cool T shirts for me with out ever really having listened to much of Jimmy's music. It did not take me long to realize just how lucky this Parrotthead was. :D
