Usually most artists track (record) more songs than they need. That way you can pick the best...

Thats what I though, but 17 still seams like alot. I was thinking more like tracking 12 to finalize 10.

But you would know better than me

Knowing Jimmy's past track record of delays/cancellations, I'll be VERY surprised (but HAPPY) if the new album OR book is in the stores before 2005.
