The song that got me hooked was PLA40, little over ten years ago. One of the things I loved about the song was the harmonica sounds. It really made you feel the longing and yearning that goes with the lyrics. If Fingers and Jimmy don't want to make up that's fine, but I would love it they found someone else to take his place. Many of Jimmy's old songs are even better when accompanied by the harmonica. I'm an over 20 victim of fate.

Even if Fingers came back, he still wouldn't get his solos. If you listen to '99 or '98 shows, he didn't get to do most of his solos. That's one of the reasons he left, creative differences between Jimmy and him.

In "He went To Paris" when Jimmy sings the line "and all he could do was just cry".....I swear Fingers made the harp cry too. That really got me hooked back in the 70's. Right now, I just think its time to add the sound back to the mix, whom-ever it is playing. And I still vote for Harp Chick.

Awwww..shucks, Cubbie! When I finish my new CD, you're going to get the first copy! :D :D

I do have a AFM union card and "credentials" (played with Bonnie Raitt, John Hiatt, Johnny Lang, and the new Marshall Tucker Band, among others). Of course, I also have a contractual obligation to my current band - but it expires next summer.

Tomm You beat me to the Harpchick thing, I was thinking the guy that
plays for the Fabolus Thunderbirds. I think it is Kim Wilson We saw them
again this year and my lil sis was up and dancing to that wailin harp
Also saw Jonny Lang and still have his CD.s IMHO in concert
he reeks, as every song had a 4-5 minute solo and that was just
too much I still love the CDs but I was really disapointed
Harp chick were you on the last tour with Marshel Tucker?
got to see them this year

I toured with Marshall Tucker in 2000 and only for part of the tour. I usually spend 16 - 20 weeks out on the road at a time, so I would love to have the Coral Reefers tour schedule. :D

BTW, I've played with Kim Wilson. Great guy. Great style and one of my major influences.

Huey's still tourin' with The News. By the way, Plan B, their album from a couple years ago is one of the better rock/blues albums I've heard in years.
