What is the best non-Buffett-authored book that takes you off to Margaritaville every time you read it? I'll start: Gumbo Limbo by Tom Corcoran.

I agree with some of the previous choices: Corcoran's "Gumbo Limbo," and Hemingway's "To Have and Have Not" and "The Old Man and the Sea."
I also would add John Hersey's "Key West Tales," an odd collection of short stories about Cayo Hueso from the days of Asa Tift and other wreckers right through to a scene at Fantasy Fest, and also June Keith's "Postcards from Paradise," a collection of some of her columns for the Miami Herald about life in Key West.
By the way, Keith used to be a waitress at Schooner Wharf (and still may be)....

Any Carl Hiassen fans out there?
absolutely hilarious and very readible. South Florida climate, convicts, ex governors with a penchant for road kill, developers, dopers, newspaper reporters, you name it! and all with a sweet and sour double shot of cocoa butter and sweet revenge.
