I have to agree with Lee. Yes, the info is a matter of public record, but I think it crosses a line to post it for the world to see. It makes it way too easy for the nutcases of the world to make trouble.

If you know my full name, you could probably pull that much info on me, too. But I would go apesh*t if it were posted here for the world to see.

Not trying to slam you on this, Des, really, but I just don't think it's wise for too much info to be posted here. (I have a good reason for a certain amount of paranoia... A woman in another online group I belong to was murdered two years ago, and while her murderer is still at large, all the evidence points to an online stalker who monitored the group's postings. )

So let me get this straight...rich folks get to keep their addresses "hidden", but we poor folks have all our info listed for easy access.
If the nutcases are the problem, I don't think the answer is for everyone to hunker down and hide. Perhaps if we had better services for the people that REALLY need help.

Once again, the asssumption is that there is a RIGHT answer and some folks have special access to how things are supposed to be done.
Guess what, reasonable minds can differ, and I happen to think that there is nothing wrong with posting a celebrity's address.

Maybe next time the "moral majority" will consider that there may be another perspective...

Show me an instance of someone posting YOUR street address on this board and I might think you have a point.

I don't think ANYONE'S address should be posted on these boards. A lot of information is a matter of public record, but that doesn't mean it should be broadcast.

Maybe to you Jimmy is a "celebrity" and, according to your rules, subject to different standards of privacy. I view him as a person with a high-profile job who deserves better than having his home address posted for everyone to find.

To me, this is the bottom line. I honestly think that if someone pulled our full names and addresses, and details of our real estate holdings, and posted them here, most of us would not be very happy about it. I know I wouldn't be. Jimmy deserves that same right to privacy. And I would repeat:
