I too was mislead by the a**hole song, sounds alot like Jimmy especially on Rancho Deluxe soundtrack.
My brain auto pilot switches it to "Bring Me Two Pina Coladas" by Garth Brooks... I love Garth!

Is / was Rancho Deluxe available on cd?

how can so many people get mixed up though? do a Google search for "Jimmy Buffet Pina Colada" and tons of results come up.

ah well. thanks for the info
I bet this song would sound awesome if Buffett covered it. Recently someone asked me if I liked the song because I am a huge Buffett fan and I was like, "Uh, don't believe everything you see on the internet."

Anyway, I think it would be cool if he did this song at a show with the steel drums. :D

You know there is this other song that is one of those that kinda gets into your head. The artist is from Tarpon Springs, FL hmmmmm........thats near BG, Breeze, and Topless.

Now to torture your mind.........BWAAHHHHHAAAAAA! :x

Bertie Higgins Lyrics - Key Largo Lyrics

Wrapped around each other
Tryin' so har-ard to stay-ay warm
That first cold winter together
Lyin' in each other's arms
Watchin' those old movi-ies
Falling in love so desperately
Honey I-I was your hero
And you were my leading la-ady

We had it all
Just like Bogie and Baca-all
Starring in our own late, late show-ow
Sailin' away to Key Largo

Here's lookin' at you-ou kid
Missin' a-all the things we did
We can find it once again, I know
Just like they did in Key Largo

We had it all (we had it a-all)
Just like Bogie and Baca-all
Starring in our own late, late show-ow
Sailin' away to Key Largo

Here's lookin' at you-ou kid (here's lookin' at you kid)
Missin' a-all the things we did
We can find it once again, I know
Just like they did in Key Largo

We had it all (we had it a-all)
Just like Bogie and Baca-all
Starring in our own late, late show-ow
Sailin' away to Key Largo

Yes. It was re-released by Margaritaville Records a couple of years ago.
It was actually Rykodisc who released it on CD for the first time in 1998. It includes snippets of movie dialogue between tracks and also features the original movie trailer which you watch on your computer. It has also been released by Varese Records (who also put out full length versions of Down To Earth and High Cumberland Jubliee with the original artwork and bonus tracks). This version doesn't include the movie dialogue or the trailer.

Didn't Chris from COBO do some of the liner notes for the Rykodisc version?
