...we together decided to take a family trip during that time. Heck, we have two airline tickets, why not use them?

Wahhhhhhhh...this is so sad! It's like Vegas last year all over again.
Call me crazy, but if you're using the tickets, why not have your "family
trip" in Key West... with us!? It won't be the same MOTM experience as
the one you initially planned, but isn't the option at least a little reasonable?
I thought about that too Des but....

1. Our flight is up to over $900/pp so that would be $1,800 in air for the keets. Yikes. We paid $343.
2. The room is 1 king bed. Not thinking they're gonna want to sleep on the floor although they've slept worse places I'm sure (at sleepovers...have you seen some people's basements? :o )
3. Bring my underage keets to Key West? :o Where I'll be spending time in "of age only" establishments? :o I haven't even brought them to a concert yet!
OMG...don't think I'm that desperate!

And I already made the switch to Mexico (my favorite place so it's not a bad 2nd choice). They're excited (while Chris and I are kind of ambivilent about it) and they have 3 days off from school that week so that's why it kind of worked out like it did. I think if they were going to miss a full week of school, I would have opted to go to KW alone.

Uggggg. I'm bummed.

But if anyone goes sailing or something...if you drift off to the southwest a bit, you'll find us laying on the beach too...just not in KW. :(

So who's ready for next year?

YEAH! We'd never met and I stayed at her house for FOUR days.....and she didn't even throw me out!

Des, last anyone saw of Flat NJ was at the Tampa concert in 2003. I think someone left her with a bartender while we went to the concert and when we got back, someone said that she may have run off with that giant Capt. Morgan statue! :o

Hey! she didn't come with me so I didn't feel responsible for her!

But if she DID go, maybe she could make use of my registration! :-?

Last year we stayed at the casa and the bell hop told me only about 30 rooms were not for MOTM's. and by the way.......if you look up on saturday and sunday between 12 and 4 you might see the Blue Angels. It was on www.keywest.com site about the air show at the navy base. It said it was at the base at MM8. Anyway, everything looks like a good sighting for Jimmy if you ask me. This might do it. I asked Peter and Jim if they were staying after thursdays show for the street festival and they said yes. Last year they didnt. And last year Mac wasent there AND.....everyone (well just about everyone in CRB has new albums). I just think its looking good! ONe can only hope right?!?! :D

Hey, is anyone planning to take the "Trails of Margaritaville " walking tour?
We're trying to work this in, and wondered if the BN gathering could be
scheduled at 10:am (ugh... morning!) Thursday so several of us could move
on together to the noon tour group. Just a thought...

I will be doing the Trails tour with my club on saturday at noon. Several people went last year and said it was really cool. So, we got the club folks together. Should be a fun time.
