I personally like the fact that JB can grow and change...I don't believe anyone should be held in ONE mold...as he grows and changes, of course his music will too! I've been along for this ride for many years (since 1974) I am still enjoying the music...I happen to love JB's voice, his delivery and his sense of humor...so it doesn't matter to me what he sings! Just that he does... continue to SING , TOUR and RECORD are what's important to me...rock on Jimmy!!! I'm looking forward to the newest JB cd...License to Chill!!!

How about Ryan Adams, Gillian Welch, Steve Earle, Tift Merritt, the Drive-By Truckers, Slobberbone, Two Cow Garage, Iris Dement, Southern Culture on the Skids, Caitlin Cary, Uncle Tupelo, the $2 Pistols, the Backsliders, Whiskeytown, Blue Mountain, Donna the Buffalo, Kasey Chambers or the Bottle Rockets? There is SO much good music out there that is closer to real country music than what's on the radio but it's been my experience that too few people are even willing to make the effort to seek it out. Hell, I doubt if even ol' Hank Williams, Sr. would make it onto the radio or CMT these days because he would be considered "too" country.

I haven't read all of the threads regarding this subject and don't know if anyone has mentioned that Jimmy said the single of this song on CD/DVD will be included with 6 million copies of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition which will be coming out soon. This will expose him (and especially those models) to many more people. There was a time when I would mention his name and get "Jimmy who?" in reply. I don't think this holds true anymore.
I saw the video on Saturday when they played it at the end of intermission at the Pond. It appears that Kenny and Jimmy were in the studio and their portion was edited into footage of the models in their swimsuits. It's not something I would want my grandkids to watch but I'm sure there are those out there that will enjoy it.
I do agree that the theme is similar to 5 O'Clock but it's easier to dance to and great to jitter-bug to. I give it a 95! Not only do I have grandchildren but I just gave away my era ~ ol' baby boomer that I am.
I, too, agree with others who say we are lucky to be able to listen to every concert on-line for free and even record them for our own listening pleasure. I don't know of any other artist who does this.
I first saw Jimmy and the Coral Reefers in 1974 (along with about 200 people) at the Back Door at San Diego State. He has been the background music to my life and given me many smiles over the last 30 years. I don't care what he does as long as he keeps on doing it and we can listen in.

Me and my keets with JB in 1975. We've all grown older but not up!
