Thats a good question. I dont think I've heard Jimmy discuss pets. Wonder if he does have one. Does he even have a song about dogs?

I was doing some research on English Pointers a while back. I needed a new bird dog and I decided that an English Pointer was for me. I found a bird dog training website with a forum similar to this one. I joined under the name "12 Volt Man", people asked the meaning of the name. I explained that I was a huge Jimmy Buffett fan, and that this was a song title etc.......Anyway, I guy chimes in and said that he had trained an English Pointer not to long ago for Jimmy. He said it's name was Phython, and that Jimmy likes to hunt quail. I thought this was pretty cool. He did say that he had never met Jimmy, so I am not sure how this whole thing worked.

We have a one yr old yellow lab AKC name is Aspen's Banana Wind (we call him BOO), he is 95 lbs now. This A.M. I am talking on the phone to the Pres of the Parrothead club here in OK., Rick B. and there is knock at my door. The Doggie Police delivered a nice little citation at my door for my dog barking to much. Their is a house being built behind us so he barks at the men working etc. Come to find out it was my friend next door who filed it, NOW, what would you do if that happened to you? We have told them time and time again, if Boo bothers you with the barking come over and Ill put him up. She didnt even come over here and tell me, she just called the police and filed it, B****.

Palms- That just STINKS!!!!!!!!! Horrible lady. I think she needs a good TPing done to her house.

I have a dog that still thinks shes a puppy. A red Siberian huskie named Tahoe. She thinks shes a 10 pound lap dog but we love her. (She's never barked. Sorry PP had to rub it in.)

Yah, well he never did either until we built this house and their is an empty lot behind us, and he thinks he is in the mountains with all that space, he cant see out from the privacy fence. I dont know, tping wouldnt be hard, they have only one little tree. HEHE

I think he still has dogs, but I don't remember where I read it. He used to have a springer spaniel called, appropriately, Spring. When he/she died, he said something about how you get so emotionally attached to these pets, that sometimes you love them more than family.

Now I'm going to have to find that quote.
