Pirate Concert Report From Maui

Location: Poolside, Grand Wailea, Maui

Weather: 80 degrees, sunny, hot, wish you were here....

Hello Parrotheads,

Well, after meeting Jimmy at his show in Vegas, bringing the FINS BUS to Anaheim, SDPirate40 is here in Maui with my girl from Mexico City, we are ready for Jimmy tonite here in Maui!

I want to pinch myself, this is Buffett Nirvana...Maui and Jimmy.

Stay tuned for an after show review, we are heading out for the make shift tailgate at 4 pm, and then on to the venue...only 5000 people in an amphitheatre, and I think we are in row 10 or 20...not bad.

Ahhh, here comes Laura our cocktail waitress (also going to the show)...time for a captn & diet!

3 hours before showtime...still atr pool, 4 cocktails later...

Top Ten 10 Reasons to see Jimy in Maui...

10. My laptop connection works just fine at the pool.

9. My pager does not work in Maui.

8. The island is so small, can easily find venue and get back.

7. I have never seen a cop on the road.

6. The entire hotel staff us going to show, except the gal that does the turn down service.

5. Jimmy loves Hawaii..

4. My office in LA is already closed, great to be two time zones earlier here.

3. Domehow, the rum just tastes better here.

2. We just saw a whale breach offshore about 100 yards away. A real whale, not the inland kind.

1. Are you kidding? Where else can it be hotter than hell, beautiful blue water 2500 miles from anywhere to see Jimmy play in JANUARY!!

NYC,

I was in Manhattan two weeks ago on Biness, it was 4 degrees and snowing...I walked to my apartment in the snow 8 blocks...brrr.....

Good to be here big guy, truly wish you and youyr girlfriend were going to the show with us....gotta get back to my girl, she needs lotion...

Concert Report #3

Weather: Breezy, cool 72 degrees

Locatiion: Maui, right under the half moon and Orion

My girl and I went over to the Four Seasons to give Les R and his buddy a ride to the show and off we went.

No tailagting when we got there, but no problem mon. We went in the venue right away. Very small venue, next to seeing him play at Margaritaville, this was the coziest place yet for me. Jimmy came out and went into many favorites...In the Shelter, SOASOAS, etc.

The night was Maui laid back, most people sitting, and Jimmy was very much into the show, you can tell he loves it here (who doe not love Maui?).

He played a full show, and it just seemed like we had Jimmy in a big back yard, which is basically what the venue is.

A great way to end the Tiki Tour!

Now off to our chairs at the pool....where is that lotion honey?

OK Pholks, time to get a few more rays, then pack for home. Flight leaves at 3 pm back to LA.

After three shows in two weeks, I have my Jimmy fix at least until the new tour starts. Jimmy made it clear Maui was going to be a regular final stop....hopefully a few more mainland parrotheads decide to male plans around this show...for me, it was one of my best....easy on the booze, really into the show, Jimmy, and his lyrics...did not hurt having a beautiful brunette from Mexico City on my arm....

Maui...Jimmy....Paradise.

See yall at Great Woods, Tinley, Nissan, Vegas, Irvine, San Diego, and Maui!

Just got back from Maui late last night. What a trip! Stayed four nights at the Four Seasons, played golf at Wailea, went on a day long catamaran snorkel trip and drank tons of mai tai's at the pool. The highlight of course was seeing Jimmy in such a cozy venue the first night.

Gavan - It was nice to meet you. Thanks again for the ride. Let me know the next time you are in AZ so I can return the favor.

Glad you made it back to the Four Seasons OK. We scooted over to Life's a Beach then hit Tommy Bahama's at Wailea...interesting evening.

Heard Jimmy was at your hotel any sign of him?

One week later, Just left the boat...78 degrees here in San Diego...and the Captn & diets are cold....
