I hope that all the greedy bastards in the world
Come back as lobsters.
You know that life at the bottom of the food chain
Suits them well.
I think that all of the evil people of the world
Come back as horseflies,
They want one last bite before they're sent to hell.

I go through phases, but the consistent ones are:

Beatles

Rolling Stones

Springsteen

Elton John

Steve Goodman

Steeleye Span (British folk-rock group-anyone else heard of them)

Simon & Garfunkel

with occasional Fleetwood Mac, CSNY, Natalie Merchant,

It really is a generational thing, isn't it, and Jimmy is the one consistency whether we are 50 or 15!

I can't believe that Jim Morris and BBB are hardly mentioned. Even more so is Sunny Jim White. :(

Ah yes! Always good to see other Rush fans still around. I just picked up the "Live in Rio" DVD a few weeks ago.. If you haven't gotten it yet, you should check it out! It's got the full Rio concert on it and a 1 hour documentary on their trip to Brazil....

Also:

Dave Matthews Band
Barenaked Ladies
Trying to get back into country: AJ, Tim McGraw...
There's more but it's only 5:45 am and I don't feel like thinking too much..

Jumping into the musical pool....

The other tops on the CD player (in no particular order)

Steely Dan
Bruce Hornsby
RUSH
John Coltrane
Aqua Velvets (thanks RM!)
Buena Vista Social Club
Diana Krall
Rat Pack-era (Sinatra/Martin/Davis)

Also depends on the day. Seems like my tastes can cycle as well, but JB seems to fit no matter what!

I wasn't going to chime in, until I saw all the Rush fans. Count me in! I hope Alex's little problem in Florida doesn't put and end to the whole thing!

Still, it seems that Rush and Buffett have a few things in common: loyal fan base, no radio airplay, dismissed by critics, etc.

Beach Boys
James Taylor
Billy Joel
Bruce Springsteen
Raggae
Sunny Jim
Other "Island" and Key West Artists

My biggest fear is that when I die, my wife will sell all my Buffett stuff for what I said I paid for it!
