It was also the first time I'd seen Jimmy in an outdoor venue- they are so much better than indoors, no matter what the weather.
I have to agree, that was the most fun I had in the concert. The energy in the lawn that night was incredible!

Best show experience was at the 2003 Saturday GW show when my cousin surprised me with seats 15 rows from the stage! It was a really cool experience to see Jimmy upclose.

Favorite Tailgate... well they've all been good in there own way... The Camden lots always has a good vive, Pitttsburg was a liitle more on the crazy side, Nissan had some good props (i.e. vibrator races) but GW wins for ist originality, over-all good natured and friendly crowd and for being the earliest to open (he'll we got there at 10:00 am last year and the lots were already filling up).

(We had the tickets first)

Uh , ID, Jimmy didn't play Irvine in '99, only the millenium show at Universal.

He did play Irvine in 2000...in April.
And May, 2001 also.

My vote goes for last year's Nashville show. Not only was it great but it was my first Buffett concert, and it's something that I'll never forget. Now I just need to get myself to more of them! :D

Nashville was awesome - had a blast. It's hard to top JB doing "Lovely Cruise" solo to wrap up the N.O. Jazz Festival 2 years ago. Like my son said at the time, "The only thing better would be seeing the Hemisphere Dancer fly into the sunset over the crowd after the show." It was like Woodstock. I do remember that era! Looking forward to more of the same this year. See you in New Orleans!!
I belong in the past, I was not meant to last, and I hope I get there one day!

Let me guess...you were kissing on some other guy's wife...again
SPEW!!!!!!

And let's not forget the near fist fight at Pittsburgh when you kissed that jerk's girlfriend! :D Never a dull moment, I tell ya!

By the way, my favorite Buffett concert (so far) was Starlake (Pittsburgh) in 2000. The pool party beforehand, the bus ride there, the people we met, the set list, and breaking into the pool afterwards all made for a perfect evening! :D

Is it summer yet? 8) :-?

I would say all of them. Which is only 6 times. The first message in this thread mentioned the Banana Wind stop at the Gorge at George. I too was there. Took my 11 year old keet (at the time) for his birthday. We were 9 or 10 rows back. Jimmy came to the stage from the behind the seats. High fiveing as he ran down the aisle. My son and I both got a quick five as he ran by.

Speaking of the Gorge. I recommend it for any concert. It is a beautifu venue. Some great show I've seen there: Ringo Starr and his all starr band' Lynrd Skynrd, Buffett twice (once in the rain!!!), Nsd Ozzfest.
Please don't say manana if you don't mean it.

The Nashville shows are always a blast, but if I had to pick one.........~~~~~~~~"Wavy flashback sequence"~~~~~~~~~~~~ It's 1996 and myself and about five of my best buddies drove up from Nashville to catch the Cincinnati show. It was the summer before we all headed off to our various collleges for our Freshman year, so we were all pretending to be college guys. :P It wasn't my first Buffett concert, so I came prepared, with my fool proof fake ID. After drinking our beer of choice back then ( Bud Ice, very bad beer ) in the parking lot we went in and I proceeded to buy some Coronas and get my fake Id taken up. At this point I was pretty bummed out, but Jimmy came on and we dove into the lawn, the crowd was electric!!! A guy paid me $20 bucks for my basball hat, then hung out with them and kissed his sister during the "romantic" parts of Jimmy's performence. After the show I talked my way into getting my fake id back from this girl that was breaking down the stand where they took it up. We met some girls in the parking lot, where we followed them back to their hotel, partied there until some bum started a fight with us, got thrown in jail because this bum wouldn't leave us alone and I was the only one not to hear that the cops were coming. Got bailed out for $9 bucks the next morning. If that's not a Buffett concert, I don't know what is. 8)

in college i used to see him at The Meadows in Hartford, i thinks it was 97 there was a good 25 of us, for those whove never been the meadows was an underrated venue, good lot parties, easy in, easy out parking...alot like camden really....anyway that was a great concert because if memory serves jimmy played OPH and southern cross back to back and there was a light rain causing some nice mudding up in the lawn section, lots of b00bies out that night....well long story short the party we were at got a lot of airtime on CILCIA on the big screen including me with a fishing rod and 12 foot inflatable shark....grand finale the g/f at the time was feeling amorous and we expressed our affection in the woods after the show....i know nothing too exciting but of 16 or 17 shows thats one i remmebr the best....didnt throw up either which is rare for me (sad i know)
Grandfather always told me if i went down i might never come back again.
