Just be glad you aren't the guy who would be working on it (after the warranty is up). I'm a Ford fleet wrench, and I don't ever want to pay the bill on fixing it!

Nice wheels..too bad there is no place you could actually "let her out" and get away with it left in America.

If I'm gonna spend $150k (minimum), I'll take a "dancing bull" (Gallardo) if you please.

Just the man I'm looking for . How much of a pain is it to put a timing chain and gears in an 85 F250, with a 351W? I'm fairly inclined mechanically, is it worthwhile to tackle myself, or should I pay somebody to do it?

I've got a HD Sportster that i built completely from the frame up that has well over twice the factory HP. I've also helped build and tune several land speed record holding bikes. Essentially, I know my way around tools and motors (in general). With the 351W, however, I have little experience aside from installing the "outside" components, like alternators, water pumps, etc. I've got a good set of tools, but have few specialty tools - such as the harmonic balancer puller I figure I'd need. thanks.

only "specialty" tools you'd need would be a balancer puller/installer and timing light.
only things you need to be careful of
1.set it to TDC before you take it apart
2.do not disturb the sludge that WILL be in there,if you do it will get stuck in the oil pick-up and you will lose oil pressure.and you know what comes next if you do
3.do a good job resealing the oil pan gasket,they leak easily
4.the water pump bolts usually break,and i'd put on a new pump while you're in there
5.the most important part....don't f*ck it up

No s**t. Put a new one on about 3 months ago...broke all but 2 bolts
