Around the Horn

Post by Billy Cruiser »

Does anyone watch Around the Horn on ESPN?
Michael Holley from the Boston Globe made some remarks that I'm sure will get him a bunch of emails.
They were discussing performers that should retire and he said something like, I know I'm going to make parrotheads everywhere mad but Jimmy Buffett should retire. He hasn't has a hit since around the time I was born.

But, Woody Paige contridicted him and said that Buffet was great and if there was a band we didn't need to hear anymore it was 50 cent.

Granted, I know this is all in jest, but HELLO!!! I couldn't find an email for Mr Holley. If anyone finds it please post it here. I'd like to tell him a few things.

i watch ATH alot, and although i missed that one Michael Holley is the worst regular they have on that show. if Woody Paige is the 1st to be eliminated then i turn the channel flat-out, he's a partier he probably is a parrothead, he grew up in the south too. if u find that email for Holley post it, he's the worst

I agree. Woody is my favorite. I like what he has to say. He makes it fun.

Espn does not offer e-mail addresses for it's cast members they want the old fashioned cards and letters.

ESPN
ESPN Plaza
Bristol, CT 06010

I suggest if you are really upset to contact the shows sponsors as well!

Didn't find Holley's yet but check out Woody Paige's web site.

http://www.woodypaige.com/

Out of Bounds: Woody says that Greg Norman's comments on Wie are made to promote golf tourneys that Tiger is not in. JA defends Wie. Hardcore Holley angers Woody, Parrotheads, and ninjatampajimmy by saying Buffett should retire. Genius fires back by saying his boy Buffett is the national anthem provider and suggests 50 cent should quit - LOL! just as long as the ying yang twins can carry on - HAGH!!!! JA is gone just like Justin and Janet at the Grammys.

Not really upset. I just think he needs a little more information before he makes that kind of remark. He knew he would upset people. He actually mentioned it before he said it. I just thought it was interesting.

Michael Holley is half of the reason I don't watch ATH. Now I have another reason not to like him.

Around The Horn on ESPN CLASSIC

Post by RDBUCSFINS »

ATH is repeated on ESPN classic and thats where I hear this. At least there is one person on that show with the correct sense to say that 50 cent should retire instead of Mr. Buffett. And since next years Super Bowl is back in the Sunshine State, maybe the NFL should see if Jimmy, Alan, and Kenny are available. At least it would be LIVE music.....
