Have you ever requested Buffett CDs be placed on a juke box?

I have had "Tales from Margaritaville" put on a juke box at one of my old watering holes. And "Live from Mansfield" on the box at my favorite watering hole. Wanted "Live in Auburn" but realized it was recorded at too low a volume level for a juke box.

I have also requested Mansfield be added to the box at my buddies new bar and it is going to be added the next time it is serviced.

The first time I played "The Natives are Restless" everyone at the bar went....."What the hell is that?" But I kept playing it (among others) and now I don't have to play it anymore as someone else usualy plays it. :D
It kinda grew on em. :D :D :D

Anybody else?

for our bowling league, me and a friend had the owner sit down and go through their whole selection...they had no Buffett..I told him to put some on...wasn't specific...he came back with Banana Wind...don't get me wrong, it is a great CD, but for the clueless people, it was a little over the edge when I was the only one singing that I wanted to be a jellyfish!

Now there are three CD's on the box....SYKBH, Bars, and Beaches....

I get so excited when I hear them played and I didn't do it...everyone blames me though....someday they will understand, if not...oh well...

I worked part time at a bar a couple years ago, and got to be pretty good friends with the guys who serviced the jukebox. I asked them if I brought a few of my extra C.D.s from home, could they put them in the jukebox. They said yes, and a week later, that jukebox had "Coconut Telegraph", "Last Mango In Paris", and "Feeding Frenzy."
I wish I had a nickel for everytime someone said "I thought 'Margaritaville' was the only song Jimmy Buffett did."

Then one night when I was driving home from work, I thought "What the hell", and called the local radio station and asked the d.j. if he could play anything by Jimmy Buffett. He said he could, and would.
I was expecting either "Margaritaville" or "Cheeseburger In Paradise", as those are the ONLY songs any radio station plays, if they even play THEM.
I damn near drove my car into the ditch when, five minutes after making the call, "Somewhere Over China" began playing.
I hope that d.j. wasn't fired for that, as there seems to be a genuine hatred of Jimmy Buffett by all the radio stations.

I burned a copy of the box set and it's on the juke box at my 2nd home. There's also a few mixed CDs that my sister made up and had put on there too.

[quote="bumper"]Last July in Loreto, Baja Sur, gave the social guru 3 Buffett cd's with some cash. He played them nonstop until his shift was done on a fine pair of monster speakers. When our time was up we left two behind for them to Buffettize anyone susceptible to such things.

That was our Margaritaville for 5 lovely days........Boy, It was a Lovely Cruise

I always offer $5 to my waiter/waitress at my favorite places if they'll switch the CD to a Buffett CD. Normally works.

Banana Wind is in one of the local Bars here. I just love playing False Echoes when the bar is really crowded. I do it kind of as a joke. It just goes on and on forever, and puts people to sleep. But then you get the bonus track after. You really get your moneys worth when you play that song.

The Jukebox at the Adult Beverage establishment that I run a karaoke show in has 36 Buffett CD's on it. Including LIVE from Vagas, Auburn, Mansfield and Cincinnati. Then everything pretty much from A1A to Far Side Of The World.
