Buffett Autograph

Post by Kmangio »

I received these Jimmy Buffett handbills from ebay and there is a signature on them that looks like bob something its really hard to make out so i looked at other jimmy buffett autographs and he seems to have a different autograph on everything can the autographs on these handbills be his or at least a replica of his?

I bought two autographed items at the opening of CIP in Middleton, one was a Cd and the other a t-shirt,both were signed that night. They look somewhat alike but are not exactly the same. So I guess to answer your question, they could be real since mine are different. Boy I hope that made sense, too much noise in my house right now!

The autograph he gave me in Indy has a J with 3 o's at the end.

I think that because often Jimmy is hounded for autographs, he just puts whatever he can in the alloted millisecond his Sharpie is in contact with the item he is signing. Here's what he signed at the Bill McBride rally in Tampa last year:

Mine are both the same, a real quick J and B, no letters in between. I agree with UP, whatever motion his hand makes in that millisecond is what you get. So, I'm not sure what to tell you. You never know.

Man..I've seen lots of Jimmy Buffett autographs before...but never one quite like that. If you wouldn't have told me he signed that....I would have guessed it was the work of a 2 year old who got his hands on a sharpie after eating that box of Krispy Kremes!

I'd imagine that there's a good possibility that the signatures are fake. Items on Ebay are hard to confirm as the real thing.
Today is the tomorrow you spent yesterday worrying about. Was it worth it?

Here's my copy of A1A that he signed for me last month:

I figure unless you saw him sign it, there's no way to know for sure. Personally I'd never buy a signature and actually, this is the first time I ever asked anyone for an autograph. It's more the memory of meeting him that's worth something (to me).

LOL ... What a forgiving bunch of PHs we are... I'm glad you fixed it... I was reading it upside down. I think he is consistent... All three sigs look very much the same to me.

Does anybody know if the ones he signs through the mail are real? I got one, and it was personalized, and it looks authentic so I wanna say yes, but there are a lotta people who have sent me fake autographs before (Bob Barker, Jim Carrey, Bill Cosby, just to name a few) Although I got a really nice personalized one from Mr. Rogers about a year before he passed so... bottom line: some are real, some aren't. I just wanna kno if my one from Jimmy is too.

When my wife Michele and I first got married, I mailed a letter to Jimmy via Margaritaville Store in Key West. I asked him to sign an enclosed birthday card for her. He did. I got mega brownie points. Thanks Jimmy!
