Just finished reading the article Jimmy wrote in SI and was pleased to see the reference to Seinfeld at the end. Just another point in case why Jimmy is Da Man!!!! :P

I agree. I think Jimmy's writing is underatted. Yes, I know how many best sellers he's had. However, the way he describes the environments he is in is incredible. It paints a great visual in your head. I definitely wanted to fly to some nameless island and hop on a skiff and pole out to a flat. Eventhough I'm not sure what most of these terms actually mean and would prolly get lost and swept out to see. Oh yeah, the Seinfeld reference was great. I noticed it right away. Can't remember the exact reference though. Something about being as comfortable as watching a favorite Seinfeld rerun.

there was also a mention of maine.....and since, atleast tourwise, he only goes as north as massachussettes, then any recognition is exciting:

"there was still no sunlight and the sky looked more like winter in Maine than spring in the Virgin Islands...."

my question is though, how would JIMMY of all people know what winter here in Maine is like? Granted I know that he's been up here a few times, but never would have guessed in my wildest dreams it would have been during the winter....
I've got to fly to Saint Somewhere.....
