I'm going to see Sonny Landreth tomorrow night in Philly. I'm pretty sure he was part of the recent recording sessions. Did he play the slide on License to Chill?

Sonny Landreth is great, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. There's nothing quite like his expertise on "slydeco" guitar.

Saw Sonny play with John Hiatt. The man is an awesome guitarist. Go to the show and you will be pleasantly amazed at this man's guitar work. Let us know how much you loved it.

Sonny Landreth was awesome last night. It was a fantastic show!!! Only about 300 people in a fairly small restaurant/bar. I bought the new CD and he signed it for me. Only sorry I didn't get to talk to him. Next time.

If you ever get the chance to see him, go!

Found this on Sonny's web site...

Sonny received the news [of his own Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Recording] in Key West while working on a new Jimmy Buffett album. “It was kind of funny because after the announcement in the studio and after all the cheering Jimmy told me I’d have to buy the drinks that night. It wasn’t until an hour later that we discovered Jimmy had also been nominated with Alan Jackson for ‘It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.’ We were both more than glad to have the opportunity to split the tab.”

Sonny Landreth is truly one of THE great guitarists working our country these days! 8) His regular band gig is in John Hiatt's band the Goners but he also has had his own solo gig for quite a while, and guesting on sessions, like Neville Brothers etx. You wanna check out Sonny Landreth? Try these CDs........

Beneath This Gruff Exterior (John Hiatt)
Thank God the Tiki Bar is Open (John Hiatt) --- yes same one Bubba's been playing
Slow Turning (John Hiatt)
