I just found this site and thought I'd check in. I've only been to 1 (count it, one....uno....jimmy buffett concert) !!! (I'm also new to this discussion board thing - hopefully I'm doin this is right!!)

I am planning to go to Alpine this year - is the bus thing a good idea? I see the hotels around are already booked up for the 10th!

Any tips from all of you parrothead veterans out there?

whether you take the bus or just come to the show, meeting up with us BNer's is a safe bet...we know how to have FUN!!!!!! You can probably get a hotel easier in Janesville and take the bus than get a hotel close to the venue at this point in the game. There are still rooms available at the Best Western in Janesville...that is where the bus leaves from and brings you back to....Let us know where we can find you!

I'll be giving up my BW in Janesville reservations... Lake Geneva plans are pretty solid now.

Just hope the Lake Geneva BW people don't catch us with too many parrotheads in the room!

Hey guys, Ticketba$tard doesn't have the Alpine show posted yet, what gives....

Also noticed Indy, 2nd Chicago, and Alpine all on sale Saturday at ten....MORONS...this is going to be a bigger headache than ever!!!!

I know that is terrible about selling at the same time! I am going north to gamble my luck on getting some tickets..........

Indy actually goes onsale an hour before the Alpine and Chicago shows due to the time change. Hope this helps!

Her "Up North" is Tomahawk. Mine is my in-law's in Mercer. I live in Stoughton now but grew up in Stevens Point.

My fam lives on Rattman Rd... or American Family Pkwy as it's called now...but I don't really keep in touch with them. I only have one aunt and uncle (total for both sides) and 3 cousins and I haven't spoke to any of them in over six years...

My Grampa lives in Madison though... right off Sherman.

I didn't go to CIP because I was going to Bloomington (IU) that weekend... not because I didn't have a place to stay in WI. Unfortunately, I didn't end up going to Bloomington because of car problems...
