Bummed out in LA.

Well it looks like JB won't make Jazzfest as promised last year unless there is a drastic schedule change. Headliners usually play one of the two Saturdays and JB's already booked elsewhere. I hope something changes but we can always hope for next year. Plus make plans to catch him at other venues this year, which we always do anyhow. Any suggestions on outdoor venues that are must sees within 1000 miles of south LA.? The indoor arenas just don't offer the allure of the true lawn party.

Of couse he is. Look at the awards. But I don't know why they even call it Jazzfest. All types of music from around the world is played and recent past headliners are JB, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Lenny Kravitz (this year too), etc. It's always a blast and at $22 a head for all day it's a musical bargain. The food is overwhelming. I still rank JB's appearance there and last year at Nashville as my 2 personal bests (out of a few).
