You might have to come to that party. Cincy rocks, and.......I just found out today that the 10th of July is a race weekend. That means no Phinmobile, no trailer, no Jimmy Ronzello (driver), and possibly no SD.finsupnorth wrote:Look at that... River downs
River Downs parking was open, but not until, like 5:00 or something.. There was live racing going on that day and the lot was closed for that. It was open, but not really early enough for "good" tailgating. We got caught on that one too.. kinda sucked... we just rolled with it and got in as soon as it opened. Had a few while parked on the side of the road waiting to get in.
After the accident the year before, you'd think parking would be easier.

Right, so when tailgating begins at 10AM for a large sum of people that's a problem. Racing is going on there every year on concert day and aside from last year it wasn't a problem. There was a concerted effort to keep people out of those areas. I'm told it relates to the legal liability (safety) that comes along with allowing people to party in there lot. I'm not sure if the situation has been rectified but there was a huge mass of people last year with nowhere to go. Does anyone have anymore information on how things stand right now?

If you're there at 10AM wow... you're... umm.. devoted. Just because you have a ticket to the concert does not guarantee you the right to park or tailgate before the opening of the parking lots. Sorry. There are rules. If the rules are still existing this year..phans will have to adjust or find somewhere else to park. Yes, it was a huge inconvenience & I was only there at 4:30, but they don't HAVE to open their lot until they want to. Maybe it cuts down on their cleaning costs. It sucks but they don't have to fix anything if they don't want to.
