Greetings, Citizens!
Is the song, "Captain America" about the Marvel comic book character or the professional wrestler of (roughly) the 60's/70's named Captain America? Or even something else entrirely?

Thanks phor your help!

While we know Jimmy is a major wrestling fan, I don't believe that's the CM who inspired this rarely performed gem from Down to Earth. He does have the brains of Einstein afterall. I wonder if JB has ever outted CM or if he is purely imaginary. Not sure.

I'm going to say "something else entirely". I don't know why I say this, Just a gut feeling.

I thought it had something to do with "Easy Rider"...until I researched it. (This probably dates me- I haven't ever seen the movie) "Captain America" was the name of the bike in the movie. Doesn't really fit the lyrics too well. I'm voting for "made up."

Thanks for your help.

The reason I'm so curious is because I've recently made the accquaintance of the former pro wrestler who went by "Captain America." (hey-ya never know WHO you're gonna meet on a motorcycle!).

Anybody know anything else?

Thanks!

Captain America was actually the charechter Peter Fonda played. Dennis Hopper was Billy.
