I just spoke with someone at the Charlotte Coliseum and the April 24th show is confirmed, but they said no tailgating will be allowed. I can't imagine a JB show without the pre-show festivities. Anyone going have any ideas?

I think they say no tailgating basically everywhere but they make exceptions most of the time for Buffett

If tailgating is the only point, then we could all just show up in the parking lot the night before with bunch of JBs cds and party!!!! Never mind fighting for tickets!!!

Parrotdude has a point. The pre-show festivities are half the reason I go.

there are plenty of people who dont go into the show, they just party in the parking lot all night.unfortunately some places require a ticket to get into the parking lot :-?

Here is what I know. I lived in Charlotte for 5 years and the last time he was at the Hive we partied across the street at a bar call ed Jocks N Jills. I don't even know the place is still there. It is just a very short walk. Hope this helps you all out.

First off, Jocks and Jills is still there across the street to my knowledge. It really is a cool bar/restaurant. Also, I attended the Feb, 2001 show at the Charlotte coliseum and we tailgated with no problem. I hope they haven't changed the rules on us. :-?

Remember the mood in the coliseum that night? Sad , sad night in charlotte with the death of #3. That was a cool tribute he did.

I was there in 2001 and had no problem tailgating. I will be at the Columbia,SC show and they have no rules against tailgating. Last years show there were people there at noon partying. One guy even had made a beach in five parking spots with sand and all. So far all the concerts in Columbia that I have been to there has been no problem with tailgating

I remember that night. Although it was a little sad about #3, I thought it was one of the best shows I'd been to and the tailgating was awesome too. We had no problems. Started around 1 oclock. :D
