Your traffic/parking lot admittance is as bad as Charlotte. We came last year in April and were in line on the interstate. Of course all the locals knew that you could just ride right up front and cut in on all us visitors who waited patiently (and courteously) in line, but us Charlotteans treat everyone the same: No one gets in, no matter what.
I tell you what, let's all meet in Atlanta at 10:00 am when they open their lots and just party together! THEY ARE THE F***ING BEST!!!!!
If I didn't live here, I wouldn't try to make either show (clt or nville). Then again, the coliseum traffic is much better than the Charlotte VWA.
Had a friggin fantastic time in N'ville, just hated trying to get to the show. And, no, it wasn't my first show, or my first year, or my first decade, or my first millenium. Just one of my worst traffic jams (AFTER Charlotte).

I have been wondering the same thing. The last two years he has hit Nashville early so I am starting to get a little worried seeing other dates posted.

No..no!!! The huge rumor is that Jimmy's gonna be in Nashville on Sat., May 22. No info on Ticketmaster or Margaritaville, but the Atlanta show on May 25 or 26 is already supposed to go on sale March 6. AAGGGHHH!! I'm just guessing, but the last year being so personally tough on Jimmy, he's taking everything just a little easier, not getting in a hurry or a huff, which is driving us crazy. This is supposedly a good, 80% sure rumor. Which is like being a "little pregnant", I suppose. Image

I don't think he'll skip Nashville. With the country album coming out and the country musicians joining him on the album, it doesn't make since to skip it!

I've never been to Nashville before. Where would Jimmy play? Do you guys have an outdoor venue?

He plays at the former AmSouth Amph., now the Starwood Amphitheatre (notice the spelling). It is an outdoor venue with a pavilion and a large grassy area. There is no parking lot tailgating. But Parrotheads tailgate in various parking lots close to the venue, just drive around and you'll find several. I hope the Smoky Mt. Parrotheads can have a night-before-the-concert party at the Beer Sellar like they did last year, with Tall Paul. I notice on their web site they have their monthly meeting on May 21 at Pelancho's with Tall Paul. Maybe if this concert comes off (out?) they can change their meeting place to the Beer Sellar. They also hosted a huge pre-concert party the afternoon of the concert at a hotel (Hilton?-I forgot, I've slept AND drank since then!) If the Nashville Parrotheads are up and running, they could take on some of the hard work. :)

I was thinking along the same lines with the new album he would surely play Nashville this year. I also had a very strange though. I wonder if Bubba would show up as a surprise guest at Fan Fest(formerly Fan Fare). I know it's in June but not sure of the dates. I doubt he would do an autograph booth but i thought he might show up and sit in with Kenny Chesney and Alan Jackson who are both supposed to be there from what heard

I hope he plays and announces it FAST! I can only afford one show this year and if I don't see that Nashville is guaranteed, I'll have to get Atlanta tickets Saturday. I've been to both and know Atlanta is a better tailgaiting area, but Nashville is my home venue, and I'd love to see him back.

Any rumors? Dates yet? Any help is appreciated.

Why would he NOT come to Nashville. It's one of his best shows every year. I've been the last 2 years and they have been great. I really don't think he won't come. He has to many close ties in Nashville. Maybe he's just waiting till summer when it's warmer...at least i hope.[/img]

Judging from the new dates posted, it's not looking good yet. Let's still hope he comes.
