TICKETBASTARDS(ticketmaster.com)

Post by PirateJeff »

When I try to "log in" or even do a search for tickets, I keep getting a message that "access to the ticketing system is limited."
1) Does anyone know why this is?
2) Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm just tryin' to get ready for upcomig ticket on sale dates ( I know none are listed, but they usually go on sale in March) Thanks all!

Yea because they are VERY VERY busy. You just have to keep logging back in over and over again. Thats how I did it. Also if you have AOL they are incahoots with Ticketmaster and you can get access through AOL tickets easier. Kepp trying! Good luck!

Does that mean we should all sign up for the 45 day free trial, use our broadband connection, and buy thru aol when they go on sale?? Have you got any proof to your cahoots theory? (Not that I'd doubt big business conspiracies . . . you're not paranoid if they really ARE out to get you.)

Yea I have proof...when you type in ticketmaster in a search on AOL it sends you to AOL TIcketmaster, which is also regular Ticketmaster. If you know anyone with AOL try it.

Just be prepared to spend an hour on the phone when you call to cancel-trying to get the customer service rep to understand that you no longer want their service! They somehow don't seem to understand what those words mean!

Very true, very true indeed. My thought is that dealing with a scalper is easier than dealing with an AOL CSR.

BTW, if you are logging in using multiple windows you may have trouble. I think I've done four, but after four it blocks you. Try using different browsers. A few IE windows, a few Mozilla windows, a few Avant windows. Let me know if it works, I just thought of it :)

Maybe all phans are buying tickets in the hopes of making $$, so they can get great seats to the show in their area. 'Cause I have not seen too many tickets for sale on ebay, or some broker sites. When the tickets go on sale for Alpine Valley, My wife stands in line, while I go on line. Last year we both got 4 tickets, We sold 4 a cost, and we went to the show with the other 4. We didn't scalp a penny on the 4 we sold. It's the only way we could increase our odds of NOT being shutout...

It appears Atlanta sold out in about ten minutes. I was able to get two lawn ticktes at about 10:04 then two reserved seats at about 10:06. That's all the tickets I needed but I was curious so I tried again at about 10:11 and got the "unable to find" message.

I will try about one week before the show, Alot of times there will be some tickets at Ticketbaster. Some are returns from bad credit cards. We can hope for that.. I will not buy from a scalper. I would rather not buy anything Jimmy, than get raped by the scalpers.
