Attention all Sooner State Parrotheads: Those of you in Oklahoma could be next in line to have your very own Parrothead license plates.
A good friend of mine back there is a state representative and a fellow Parrothead. I'd been keeping him up to date on the status of VA's Parrothead plates and we decided he should do the same in OK. Well, the opportunity presented itself this morning and he successfully added an amendment to another bill (creating an "Animal Friendly" specialty plate) that will allow for the creation of Parrothead plates in Oklahoma!
The bill number is H.B. 2429 and it passed the House this morning on an 83-15 vote. It will now have to pass the Senate before going to Governor Henry for his signature.
If you want your very own Parrothead plate, please contact your state Senator and urge them to support this bill. You can find your Senator and his or her contact information at http://www.oksenate.gov/senators.htm.
