Raleigh Show help

Post by Phillyparrot »

Hello, My Girlfriend and I are driving down from Philadelphia to see Buffett in Raleigh. We are members of Philly Parrothead club.
Need a place to tailgate before show, since we don't know anyone in that area! We will bring plenty of Corona!!!

Post by WIprthed »

I can't believe Jimmy doesnt have Alpine planned! I'm still hoping he'll come in with a late tour date update?! He's done that in the past i know. Let's keep our fingers crossed! Buffett gets me out of our terrible Wisconsin winter moods every year!

For all those people freaking out about Jimmy not coming to their town. The extended list of dates that was up last night has been taken down on Margaritaville.com. They have the April dates up again. Maybe they are making corrections/Additions to the tour dates before they put it back up.

The list is back up and says those dates are "Confirmed dates as of March 4, 2004" Still means that shows could be added etc. If you notice most "legs" are only 5 dates not the usual 6.

You know those rumors we've been hearing of Jimmy playing Memorial Day, with Alan Jackson & George Strait....well they are TRUE! That is if you believe the following story.......
My office recently moved to a building on the 17th floor, and on the
16th floor is 99.5 the Wolf radio station. (I missed meeting Kenny Chesney last month by a few minutes)! I struck up a conversation on the elevator today with a guy who works for them (imagine that), and
asked him if the rumors were true. He said, yep, it is official!
Saturday, May 29, Texas Stadium (holds 65,000 pholks), with AJ & GS! He said there might even be a second show. Hope you are sitting down for the next part...tickets are $125 (the cheapest ones)!
I told him if JB comes to the radio station, I HAD to be there. He
said JB never does radio, but you never know! I wished I had asked him for a couple (hundred) tickets. Or at least for his name. Doh! He told me not to tell anyone (yeah right), but I told him I was VP of
the LSPHC, and I HAD to tell all of us. He said ok...so there you
have it!
Can you imagine the parking lot party we will have?!?!?!?!
If by some reason it proves not to be true...sorry. But I don't think
he had any reason to lie to me or to tease & torture & embarrass me! I'm believing it! Watch your emails to know when it is
REALLY, FOR SURE, true.
I think I feel a party comin' on!

I don't know what else to say other than this concept does not get me fired up at all. Ditch George and Alan, I wouldn't pay to see them play anyhow. Plus, I've seen TOO damn many shows at Texas Stadium and frankly, it sucks. The acoustics are dreadful and its impossible to get a decent seat. From the upper deck, you may as well be sitting on the moon.

or mars. Texas Stadium was built for Cowboy games and that's it!!! And it's not the greatest place to watch them play either
