Here's what I call the "10 o'clock Rita". After a couple of these, you just won't make it 'til 10:00.
In a pitcher, mix the following:
12 oz tequila
12 oz minute maid limeade (frozen from concentrate)
1 can 7 up (not sprite)
1 bottle Corona (not Corona lite)
Mix until frozen limeade has dissolved. ENJOY!

Here's my fave recipe........ watch out, it's addicting:
half cup Sauza tequila (sorry, guys, I prefer Sauza over Margaritaville brand)
one third cup triple sec
one third cup Mr & Mrs T's sweet & sour mix
one fourth can (large can) frozen limeade
blend well in blender, then add about a cup or two of ice cubes, blend until slushy
Enjoy!

My friend (Yeah I have one ) gave me a dreamsicle margarita. I will be drinking this tonight.
In a blender mix 3 shots clear tequila ( no quervo gold)
2 shots triple sec
1/2 can orange soda
1/3 can frozen oj
2 small scoops vanila ice cream
Mix in a blender add ice enjoy. My friend says that this is just like a dreamsicle. I know booze and ice cream sound nasty, but he swears this is great. I'll let you know soon. Instead of salt, use sugar around the rim.. Let me know if you try this..

This is my wife's famous recipe that she's perfected over the last 10 years. It's known as the "Hello, What's My Name?" Margarita.
- 1.5 parts clear (not gold) tequila. We prefer "Sauza Commemorativo."
- .5 part Cointreau
- 1 part Rose's lime juice. make sure it's lime JUICE and not the cocktail. You need to look closely- the bottles are almost identical.
We usually make large quantities in a pitcher and then pour in a glass w/ ice. Salt on the rim of the glass is optional. At no point is a blender or any extraneous ingredients involved. This drink is "All killer, no filler." These are STRONG, but taste very smooth.

try this on for size....I have been a bartender for 8 years and my simple solution to the whole margarita is to skip the mixer and go for the tequila martini......
2oz Patron silver or Don Julio silver
.5oz Cointreau
.5oz Grand Mariner
Shake with ice serve it up in a martini glass with a squeeze of lime if you like. give it a try you will be very pleased. and very drunk.

Bottled Mix comes in handy when in parking lots but usually, I just go with Jimmy's recommendation (and carry the recipe in my wallet in case a bartender doesn't know how to make it):
JIMMY BUFFET'S PERFECT MARGARITA
Crushed ice
3 wedges lime
2 ounces gold tequila (Cuervo 1800)
1/2 ounce white tequila (for bite)
1 1/4 ounces Rose's Lime Juice
1/2 ounce triple sec
1 splash orange Curaçao
Put all ingredients except the 3 lime wedges into a shaker. Squeeze 2 of the lime wedges into the shaker. SHAKE WELL! Rim outside of glass only with lime. Salt only the outside of the glass. Add fresh crushed ice to glass. Strain mixture over ice. Squeeze remaining lime wedge in glass.

Mine is very simple: pour equal parts tequila (pick your favorite, but I have been using white lately), triple sec and lime juice and then just a splash of orange juice into a shaker of ice. Shake vigorously while singing along to Hot Hot Hot and pour into your favorite margarita glass (or mug). Squeeze some fresh lime and enjoy!
