HELP ME!!!!!!
I can get you to Philly from the concert if that will help any.

A date is a date.
& people do tend to underestimate Pittsburgh for a show. Ive been the past two years and am looking forward to it again this year. Be my first show as a married phead. And it seems ive even done a good job on getting the other half to somewhat enjoy himself.

Good news for sure, but I wish they'd firm things up. Rumors are no fun!
And not to be ungrateful, but it seems they push Pittsburgh back later & later every year. If this keeps up, I'll be trick-or-treating at the tailgate. I hate waiting all summer! But you know what they say about anticipation...

My first show was in '94. I've luckily managed to get tickets to every Pittsburgh show since. I even got to go twice in '97, back when Jimmy still did back-to-back Friday/Saturday shows here.
Oh, and I've got a Greensburg connection too. I used to work for a computer game developer that had their offices right across the street from the Westmoreland Mall. My daily commute was a 45 minute drag down Route 30 twice a day. Blech.
Ugh....rt 30...the road from hell !!! I've thought about joining Steel City Fins before Craiger, but with my work schedule..it would be almost impossible for me to make any of the meetings. Red Parrot.....I started going to JB shows sometime in the mid 90's. Always been a phan...but for some unknown reason I decided to stay away from concerts for several years back then. Really pi$$ed at myself now for doing that. Since I've ventured back into the concet going phlock...I honestly dont know exactly how many shows I've been to. We've traveled to Merriwether, and Nissan a few times, and of course we catch JB at Starlake every year too. What I'm proud of is that this years show will be my keets 5th or 6th show. She just turned 12 so she has some experience under her belt already.

Oh yeah...we've been to Margaritaville in Key West a few times too-but Jimmy's never been there at the same time as us.

Last time there I persuaded her to stand on the stage while I took her pic. I want to fiddle around with one of my photo programs and insert Jimmy's pic next to her. That would be cool. Moe Phins............I've lived in Greensburg for my whole life... I tried to talk the wife into moving to Florida years ago...but never had any luck with that. GO PANTHERS !!!!!

Hey Reefdiver-
If the only thing holding you back from joining the Fins is your schedule, don't worry about it. I work weird, unpredictable hours and definitely don't make it to every meeting. We have a lot of members who don't attend each month for one reason or another. We're a laid-back group...
And yes, Route 30 is the road from hell. I can't tell you how many times I've nearly killed or been killed by someone on that lousy piece of pavement.

On a related note, the Pittsburgh Parrothead Club (Steel City Fins) does a great pub crawl in the Strip District every year in May. Anyone in the Greater Pittsburgh area should join up. We have a blast!
Here's our site:

Hi Craiger....I'm a member of the Steel City Fins too! And from Greensburg area. But I havn't made it to many meetings lately since they changed my keets dance night from Mon to Tues

But come summer....I'll be back!! Was actually at Gene's last year after the pub crawl. Were you there? Maybe I've seen you. Do you know Barb C? If ya make it to a meeting tell her Lisa says hi. Maybe I'll meet up with ya there sometime!

Hey Spongecakes!
I sure was at last year's pub crawl. You *may* have seen me...I'm on the tall side, short dark hair and a goatee. That really narrows it down, I'm sure. However, my wife was easier to spot- she was the one at Gene's with the big hat that looked like a pint of Guinness.
Anyway, I definitely know Barb...she's at all the meetings and I get an email from her almost every day. She's the hardworkingest secretary there is!
Just in case you didn't know, there's another pub crawl in the works...It was mentioned at the last meeting. Time to start those 12 ounce curls!

Hey Craiger...can't say that I remember seeing you last year or your wife's big hat. Things are a little fuzzy from that night, lol. I wasn't at the crawl, but stopped by Gene's late that night. Was probably after 9 or 10pm. But Barb is great! I havn't seen her in forever, but I get the emails daily too. Gonna have to really try to make it to a meeting soon!! I miss it!!

Hey Reef Diver, Just wondering where you went to school in Greensburg? Salem, Central or Hempfield? Salem here 1986 to be exact. Missing the Burgh however, but hey need money to support my Buffett habit. My husband and I are keeping our phins crossed for the confirmation of the Burgh show cause we haven't missed one in 5 years! Have a great weekend and GO PITT!! (Syracuse lost last night to BC so part of our problem is done).
